Podobały mi się niektóre fragmenty, ale znalazłam też sporo niedopracowań.
Zgodzę się z Tomem, że tłumaczenia na język obcy, nie ojczysty, są piekielnie trudne i wymagają sporo pracy...

is going down the Republic, i zamiast going down, napisałabym setting. Myślę, że ładniej i bardziej poetycko brzmi.
almost nothing has left for him Składnia w tym zdaniu jest nieładna i zdanie traci sens. Może: he is left with almost nothing.

the destiny... Wywalić the. Po prostu destiny. Nie znam przypadku, kiedy używa się the przed tym słowem... Albo nie przychodzi mi w tej chwili do głowy żaden przykład, w którym można by było użyć 'artikla' w tym przypadku.
